Michael Jackson's funeral is currently scheduled for 10 a.m. this Tuesday at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. Staples Center, a 20-thousand seat coliseum in downtown Los Angeles where Jackson rehearsed his show the night before he died, according to a person who has been briefed by a representative of the family. Sounds the place is quite appropriate for the funeral.
According to reports, AEG Live, which owns the basketball arena and the Nokia Theater next door, will use both facilities and the surrounding plaza. There's no word yet on how tickets will be distributed.
It confirms the report, that originally thought the funeral was being held at Michael's former home, Neverland Ranch. The Jackson family is evidently trying to make arrangements to have the singer buried on the property.
Well, the funeral service will be held between 10am PST and noon PST. The Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey circus will be on standby, literally. The circus act just happens to be in town and is slated to begin their run at the Staples Center from July 8 to July 11.

According to reports, Jackson would then be buried at the picturesque Forest Lawn cemetery nestled in the Hollywood Hills above Los Angeles.
On Wednesday the Jacksons had issued a statement ruling out the possibility of a poignant final farewell at the singer's Neverland Ranch. Although spokesperson for the Jackson family would not comment on the reports early Thursday.
"Contrary to previous news reports, the Jackson family is officially stating that there will be no public or private viewing at Neverland," it said.
It can be recalled that, the announcement disappointed fans who had flocked to Neverland after reports indicated the family was planning services at the estate for Jackson, who died after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest on June 25.
